Avnet has a long history of good corporate citizenship, including a well-established, award-winning community relations program focused on education, children’s issues and technology. Avnet employs a three-pronged approach to community relations: strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, employee-driven community relations activities and volunteerism. We work hard to create an optimistic future for our community and, through Avnet Cares, employees are encouraged and supported in their volunteer efforts in the local communities where they live and work.
From Hands On Phoenix to Make a Difference Day, from the Avnet Tech Games to the YMCA Youth and Teen Technology Center, and from local food banks to the Salvation Army Christmas Angels, Avnet employees exemplify the generosity at the heart of our outreach programs in the Valley.
In honor of them and all those who invest their time and energy in service to their local communities, Avnet is proud to join the Phoenix Business Journal and HandsOn Greater Phoenix (formerly Make a Difference) to shine the spotlight on volunteers who make a difference in our community.
Congratulations to each and every one of the finalists at this year’s Heart of Business Awards!! Thank you for all your efforts to initiate change, help the needy and disadvantaged, and make a positive difference in the lives of men, women and children who call the Valley of the Sun home.
